About

Charlotti is a childhood nickname that I go by – in Singlish (Singaporean English) it translates into ‘Fried Bread’. It’s quite apt that my nickname is food-related because I can’t stop thinking about food.

I started this blog in 2010 (where has the time gone?!) but I’ve recently revived it to have a central place for everything that’s coming out of my kitchen these days.

  2. Sorry for bothering you.. But.. How can you make your post on the home page doesn’t show all the post and shows “continue reading –>” instead? I can’t find how to make it shows like that.. T_T

    1. hi bakashironeko, when you are editing your post you need to click on the icon that has a pop that says ‘Insert More Tag’ at the spot you want to create a page break so your whole post doesnt show (i know how lengthy it can be!). A shortcut is to key ALT+SHIFT+T to create the ‘continue reading’ at a point in your post

    1. hi charles,

      it’s cool eh? you can add a slideshow by uploading all the media that you want and place it in order by numbering them under the ‘Gallery’ tab for your post and at the bottom of the pop up there is an ‘Insert Slideshow’ button and voila you have a slideshow in your blog post!

  6. Hi Charlotte,

    I was just wondering if you could help me. I just switched my blog from Blogger to WordPress recently and I’m struggling to find my feet in WordPress. I’m messaging you because I’ve also chosen the Bueno theme but can’t figure out how to add ‘buttons’ that are an image & a link on a my side bar. Please can you help me?     1. thanks melgrace5!
      for those icons, you go to Settings on the side bar and then go to Sharing. you should be able to work it out there! you just need to place those social comm platforms under ‘Enable’.

  10. Hi Charlotte,
    Great blog! well presented, I am creating mine new blog in Bueno (love the simplicity) but not finding the backend of creating it as simple as I thought it would be. Can you please help me, I’ve read a million tutorials and can’t seem to find a solution. How do I change my background to white and remove the dots? Thank you so much!!!!!

      Thank you!
      To change the background, go to Appearance> Customize> Colors and you will see an option to change the background color. Let me know if this doesn’t work!

      1. Hi Char,
        Unfortunately when I go to appearance there is no customize option and nothing about colors/background. When I go to Bueno, there is only theme options and few color choice changes, no white background option & no dot removal. I purchased my domain through GoDaddy and uploaded the theme, do you think that makes a difference?
