7-time Roasted Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen

Had the opportunity to have a lunch date with R one day and knowing my *obsession* with Ramen he brought me to Nantsuttei at Parco (Millenia Walk). The ramen here features a pork-bone soup stock seasoned with a roasted black garlic oil – and by roasted i really mean R.O.A.S.T.E.D. It’s roasted as many times there are letters in the word r-o-a-s-t-e-d (how convenient!) – it’s no wonder the oil is black, it should be after all that roasting! *sweats*

R has declared Nantsuttei’s ramen as the best ramen he’s ever had – no MSG, stock is rich but not overly so, tasty and not overly so. I, on the other hand, whilst I did enjoy it, still give my vote to Santouka Ramen at Central© (check out this post I did some time back during my Ramen Craze). Their just-the-right bounce noodles, souper tasty and hearty broth, gelatinous 3/4 boiled egg and melt in your mouth char siu spells Y-U-M-M-Y in my tummy. First order of business – bring R to Santouka and make him a convert (:
