Addicted

Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am addicted to baking. It has been 5 days since my last bake.

I can’t stop thinking about what I can next bake/ make and am always hoping for a window of free time long enough for a batter to be made and baked or for dough to rise. Sometimes even (some say irrationally) considering squeezing in a bake sesh 5 minutes before midnight. Butter, eggs, sugar and flour are my security blankets – I wouldn’t know what to do without them. When people think of going shopping they think of going to Zara/ Mango but I think of going to Phoon Huat. I sit in front of the oven mesmerized by cookies baking just as kids sit in front of (now flat-screen) televisions mesmerized by a cartoon.

Do you think I might be addicted?

      1. I totally know what you mean. If I had lots of money – I’d make my dream kitchen and equip them with all my favorite gadgets from the world, and I’d be in there cooking and baking all day long! (other than occasional girly shopping and eating out) arghhh I wish I wish!!

  1. Eh got teeny tiny bit of skill involved ok!!! Seriously though having a good eye is absolutely the most important thing. I’ve seen some gorgeous drool-worthy pictures taken with little point and shoot cameras, and terribly boring pictures taken with expensive Canon DSLR’s. But hey, from what I see here it looks like you’ve got a good eye 🙂
